Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the new campus of Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and SUM Hospital, faculty of medicine of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA), at Sitalapalli in Ganjam district on Wednesday.
According to a release of SOA on Monday, Sitalapali campus will cater to the growing need for quality healthcare facilities in southern Odisha. It will have advanced healthcare facilities, cutting-edge technology, and 24×7 emergency services provided to patients at an affordable cost.
The hospital, which will have 200 beds initially, will be expanded to house 500 beds subsequently.
The Chief Minister had inaugurated the second campus of SUM Hospital at Phulnakhara on NH-16 between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in January.
With the new campus at Sitalapalli, all hospitals run by SOA will complement each other while endeavouring to extend quality healthcare to the people.
