New Delhi: The Board Of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) has decided to form a COVID-19 task force, which will include former India captain and National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief Rahul Dravid.
As per BCCI’s standard operating procedures (SOP) to deal with the coronavirus pandemic, players will have to sign a consent form before they resume training at their respective centres. Anyone above the age of 60 or with underlying medical condition(s) will be barred from being part of the training process.
Dravid apart, the task force will include a medical officer, a hygiene officer and BCCI AGM, cricket operations.
Their responsibilities will include communicating with the cricketers, explaining to them measures being taken to manage risks and also communicate updates of COVID-19 cases to relevant higher management.
