NCERT To Work With Rotary India For E-Learning Content On Television

New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has joined hands with Rotary India for Class I to XII e-learning content, telecast on NCERT TV channels.

The main object behind the collaboration is to make e-learning more helpful and easy for the students.

The official Twitter handle of the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry said, “To make e-learning more constructive, NCERT and @Rotary signed an MoU in the presence of Union HRD Minister Shri @DrRPNishank today in New Delhi. Secretary of the Department of School Education & Literacy Smt. Anita Karwal also attended the digital event.”

As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), curriculum modules will be telecast for Classes 1-XII, through 12 national television channels of NCERT from July 2020. The e-Learning modules will also be available through the Government of India’s national mobile app, DIKSHA, at the same time.

The HRD Ministry in another Tweet said, “The content is currently available in Hindi and Punjabi, and hence shall be implemented immediately across 12 states/ UTs schools of approximately 10 crore students.”

The coronavirus pandemic, leading to a nationwide lockdown from March 25, forced all educational institutions to close, leading to confusion and a state of uneasiness among students across ages.

Educational authorities are making all efforts to help ease students’ online learning programmes etc.
