The commission did not accept Nora’s response through her lawyer, and asked her to appear in person before the panel.

NCW has set Apr

il 27 as the next hearing date.

“A final opportunity has been granted to Nora Fatehi to appear in person before the commission on April 27, 2026,” NCW said during the hearing, chaired by Vijaya Rahatkar.

During the proceedings, lyricist Raqueeb Alam, director Prem, and representatives of KVN Productions, Gautam K M and Suprith appeared before the panel.

Rahatkar raised concerns over the song’s lyrics, stating that they were against the dignity of women. She also rejected the claim made by those summoned that they were unaware of the meaning of the lyrics.

The Commission said those present submitted a written apology and admitted that the song had a negative impact on society.

They further informed the panel that they would work towards women’s empowerment over the next three months and submit a report.
