New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results for the NEET UG 2024 retest held on June 23 for 1,563 candidates.
According to official sources, students who appeared in the retest can check their scores on the official website: exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/.
The final answer key for the NEET UG retest was released at 1:30 pm on June 30. The retest was conducted for candidates who had earlier been given grace marks due to a loss of exam time.
Of the 1,563 eligible candidates, 813 appeared for the retest, which took place in the same six cities but at different centers.
As per reports, the Centre is believed to be considering the possibility of conducting NEET UG online from next year.
Out of the 813 candidates, none have managed to score 720/720, taking down the toppers tally from 67 to 61, as per NTA sources. Five out of the six candidates who had earlier received a perfect score of 720/720 appeared for the retest on June 23. However, they repeated high scores upwards of 680.
The affected students were given a choice to either retain their original scores, i.e. without grace marks, or appear for the retest. The students who appeared for the retest on June 23 will be issued a revised score. However, the students who have skipped the retest will now be awarded their old original score, which is the score without the grace marks.
There are several other petitions regarding NEET UG 2024 result in Supreme Court, majority of which will now be heard on July 8.
