NEET UG 2026 Rescheduled To June 21; Fresh Admit Cards Soon

New Delhi: The NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be conducted on Sunday, June 21, 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Friday.

The date was fixed after approval from the Government of India. The NTA has urged candidates to rely only on its official communication channels for updates and information related to the matter, as reported by ABP Live.

Candidates will not have to re-register and fresh admit cards will be issued in due course, the NTA has s

aid.

Nearly 22.7 lakh candidates sat for the NEET UG 2026 examination for admission to medical colleges across the country on May 3.

Though the examination was held under high security, the NTA received information of a question paper leak on May 7-8. It immediately got in touch with the Government of India and central agencies to probe the matter.

On May 12, the NTA cancelled the examination held on May 3 after it was confirmed that major irregularity had occurred.

The Centre handed over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and several people have been arrested from across the country. Further arrests are expected as investigation continues.

Meanwhile, the NTA came under fire from all quarters for such a breach affecting the careers of students. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has also been filed in the Supreme Court on the matter.
