New appointments soon to expedite consumer dispute redressal system: Min
Bhubaneswar: To ensure early redressal of consumer disputes, the state government would appoint four presidents and seven members at district-level consumer courts by December, informed food supplies and consumer welfare minister Surya Narayan Patro while briefing media on his department’s achievements in the last three years.
“The quality and prices of essential commodities such as edible oil, pulses, cereals, potato and onion have been put under strict vigil. Besides, weekly surprise inspection drives are also being carried out at all district headquarters to ensure that the prices of essential commodities are under control,” Patro said on Friday.
