Bhubaneswar: There was a 13% rise in COVID-19 cases in the capital city with 389 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours, pushing the aggregate caseload to 93,077.
Bhubaneswar had reported 343 new cases on Thursday.
The city had registered 387 new positive cases on Wednesday and 317 on Tuesday.
Of the new cases, 69 were from quarantine and 320 through local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed.
The highest of 35 cases were reported from Patia, followed by 25 in Nayapalli, 18 from Khandagiri and 14 from Dumduma.
The city logged 358 recoveries while 1,210 active cases were reported. The number of deceased has touched 497.
A total of 91,349 patients have recovered from the virus till date.
