New Date Announced For UGC-NET Exam; Know Details

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency on Friday announced the new dates for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2024 June session exam. According to the official statement released by the NTA, the UGC NET exam will be held between August 21 and September 4, 2024.

Additionally, the NTA informed that the the NCET 2024 exam will be held on July 10, while the Joint CSIR UGC NET will conducted from July 25 to 27.

All three exams will be computer-based tests. Earlier, the UGC NET June 2024 Cycle examination was held in pen & paper (offline) mode, however, it will now be held in the computer-based test (CBT) mode.

The All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2024 will be conducted as scheduled on July 6, 2024.
Notably, the June shift exam was initially conducted on June 18 with more than 9 lakh candidates participating. However, the day after the exam was concluded the Ministry of Education cancelled the exam, citing concerns that the “integrity” may have been compromised due to an alleged paper leak.
Student organisations have been staging protests over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG and the cancellation of UGC-NET exams for the past few days. The Union Education Ministry responded, stating that the reported malpractices were limited in scope and isolated incidents. They emphasised that penalising the careers of the many candidates who legitimately passed these exams would be unfair.
