New Flag & Anthem Unveiled As SUMUM Completes 4 Years Of Service To The People
Bhubaneswar: SUM Ultimate Medicare (SUMUM), the capital city’s multi super-speciality quaternary care hospital, completed four years in the service of people on Thursday.
Inaugurated on February 29, 2020, SUMUM has established itself as one of eastern India’s leading healthcare centres.
A unit of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), the 350-bedded hospital offers modern facilities including SPECT GAMMA Camera, Linac (True Beam), Dedicated Trauma ICU, PET CT Scan, 3 Tesla MRI, 14 Modular OTs, 128 Slices CT Scan and HDR Bravos Brachy Therapy.
A new SUMUM flag and anthem were unveiled at a celebration to commemorate the special day.
The celebration, christened as ‘SUM’UM BONUM – The Ultimate Promise’, was attended by CEO Dr Swetapadma Dash, Chief of Medical Services Brig. (Dr) Biraj Mohan Mishra and Medical Superintendent Dr P K Panda.
SUM’UM BONUM means the ‘ultimate good’ in Latin.
Thanking the community for the support extended to the hospital, Dr Dash said that doctors, nurses, paramedics and other staff will continue to uphold their commitment to excellence.
“SUMUM has evolved into a peoples’ hospital and is now a homegrown brand in healthcare,” she said.
Several doctors, nurses and other personnel belonging to SOA or working as consultants were felicitated on the occasion.
Dr Banambar Ray, Head of Critical Care Medicine department, was bestowed with the Lifetime Service and Healthcare Excellence Award.
