Feature-wise, the urban SUV gets new eight-way adjustable driver’s seat, Bose sound system, ventilated seats, drive modes, electronic parking brake, over 50 connected car features like remote engine start and smartwatch connectivity and more.

Powering the Creta is a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 112bhp/144Nm that’s available with a CVT or six-speed manual. Like the Kia Seltos, there’s a 1.4-litre Turbo GDi unit that makes 138bhp/242Nm. It comes with a seven-speed DCT only.

The diesel engine is 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit that makes 113bhp/250Nm. It is available in six-speed manual and six-speed automatic variants.

Safety-wise, the new Creta is loaded with 6 airbags, ABS, ESP, hill ascent control and more.

Fuel efficiency:

1.5 litre petrol with manual gearbox – 16.8kmpl
1.5 litre petrol with CVT – 16.9kmpl
1.4-litre turbo GDi with DCT transmission – 16.8kmpl
1.5-litre diesel manual – 21.4kmpl
1.5-litre diesel automatic – 18.5kmpl.

The Creta has been a cash cow for Hyundai ever since its launch in 2015. It will face competition from Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, MG Hector and Tata Harrier.
