Keonjhar: The Odisha government is taking necessary steps to set up a new trauma care centre at Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital in Keonjhar district.
Announcing the state government’s plan to establish the proposed trauma care centre, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday said the government is committed to strengthening healthcare facilities in the state.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government will take all necessary steps to transform the medical college and hospital into a complete healthcare facility.
Majhi, who was in Keonjhar to attend the 74th annual gathering of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) state branch, prioritised the evaluation of the hospital infrastructure.
While addressing the gathering, the CM expressed his appreciation to the attending doctors and healthcare workers at the conference, acknowledging their substantial contributions. He reiterated the government’s unwavering support for healthcare improvements across the state.
“I have assured to resolve all the problems of Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital. I have also assured to set up a trauma care centre at the hospital. The conference will encourage us to expedite the work,” Majhi said.
“I emphasised the need for collective efforts to elevate Dharanidhar Medical College into a leading institution of excellence,” he said.
“Our government remains committed to supporting and implementing necessary modifications to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and medical education across Odisha,” the Chief Minister said.
