New Delhi: The new iteration of Maruti Suzuki’s popular Wagon R is all set to be launched on January 23, according to NDTV CarAndBike.
The new Wagon R will have a new design and modern features with enhanced safety to meet new norms. The car is expected to have more space as well. The same 1.0 litre K-Series engine will be retained and the car will be available in CNG and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) variants as well.
The Wagon R has been a hot seller for the company averaging around 15K units a month in the last many years. It will be priced around Rs 4-5 lakh and will compete against the new Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago. Maruti Suzuki is planning an electric version of the new Wagon R as well. It is expected to be launched in 2020.
Spy shots have revealed that this car like other new Marutis will have touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rear parking cameras, LED lamps and built-in navigation.
