Next 100 Days Crucial, Narendra Modi Outlines Election Strategy At BJP National Convention
New Delhi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the next hundred days are important for the party while addressing the national convention of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam.
“BJP workers keep doing something or the other to serve the country for 24 hours every day of the year but now for the next 100 days is for working with new enthusiasm and new faith. Today is 18th February and the youth who have reached the milestone of 18 years in this period are going to elect the 18th Lok Sabha of the country….” he said, while exhorting karyakartas to win everyone’s trust in the next 100 days as the party aims to win 400 seats in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Modi further said that he was not seeking a third term to enjoy power, but to work for the nation. “We rid the country of mega scams, terror attacks; made efforts to improve living standards of the poor, middle class. The next five years are going to be crucial. We have to take a big leap towards ‘Viksit Bharat’. The first imperative is to ensure the return of the BJP to power with strong numbers.”
“…We are working on mission mode to make India a developed country, by 2047, when India will celebrate 100 years of independence. We have taken the resolve to make India, the world’s third-largest economy and this is Modi’s guarantee…,” he added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah exuded confidence about BJP retaining power in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. “In coming polls, the political parties are divided in two camps … just like it were Kaurav and Pandava in Mahabharat. The INDI alliance is of dynasts and corrupt …. Congress is father of corruption and patron of corruption.”
Speaking on the resolution “BJP: Desh ki aasha, vipaksha ki hatasha” (BJP: Country’s hope, opposition’s despair), Shah asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working for the country’s development. “The country has decided that PM Modi will again become the PM of the country, there is no doubt about it,” he added.
Launching an all-out attack on the Opposition, Shah said it is composed of “2G, 3G, and 4G” parties, alluding to the successive generations of families leading these parties. “On the one hand there are family-run parties and on the other is the son of a poor mother,” he said which accusing the INDIA bloc of aiming to secure prominent positions for their children within their parties.
He further claimed that the Congress party declined the invitation to the Ram temple consecration ceremony due to its policy of appeasement politics. “Dalits, Adivasis, and the backward classes, whom the Congress and the INDI Alliance tried to use as vote bank, were given their dues for the first time by the BJP government,” he asserted.
Amit Shah also assured that the country will be free of terrorism and Left-wing extremism during Modi 3.0.
