Bhubaneswar: The National Highways Authority (NHAI) on Monday approved the proposal for construction of four foot over-bridges (FOBs) in Bhubaneswar.
All the foot over-bridges will be constructed on National Highway-16 at an estimated cost of over Rs 7 crore.
While one FOB will be constructed at Palasuni, another will come up near Rajdhani College at Baramunda. Two other FOBs will be constructed at Manguli on Chandikhole-Jagatpur-Bhubaneswar section of the National Highway 5 (presently NH-16).
The projects will be executed on Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode.
Earlier, the Railway Ministry had approved a flyover bridge at Khurda Road station. Aimed at facilitating smoother train operations in the Howrah-Chennai Main Line and Khurda Road-Puri Branch Line, the flyover bridge of 7.41 km is estimated to cost Rs 191.87 crore.
