The breathtaking Niagara Falls in Canada looked even more splendid as it got illuminated in the colours of the Indian flag in solidarity with the country of 1.35 billion people which is facing a massive COVID-19 crisis amid a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
“India is currently facing a surge in cases and losses of life resulting from Covid-19. In a display of solidarity and hope for India, Niagara Falls will be illuminated tonight from 9:30 to 10pm in orange, white and green, the colours of the flag of India. #StayStrongIndia,” Niagara Parks said in a post on social media.
The Niagara had lit up in the colours of Indian flag last year too, to mark the country’s 74th Independence Day.
Landmark buildings in the United Arab Emirates were illuminated in the Indian tricolour of saffron, white and green a few days ago.
