Bhubaneswar: After showing a steady rise in the past few days, the night temperature in Odisha is likely to drop by 3 to 5 degree Celsius after 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.
“No large change in minimum temperature during next 24 hours and it is very likely to fall by 3 to 5 degree Celsius in subsequent 2 days at many places in the state,” the bulletin said.
While dry weather conditions will prevail across the state, shallow to moderate fog is expected at one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Bargarh till 8.30 am on Thursday, it added.
In the last 24 hours, Korapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12 degree Celsius followed by Ranital at 12.5 degree Celsius, Sundargarh at 13 degree Celsius, Balasore and Similiguda in Koraput at 13.1 degree Celsius, Jharsuguda at 13.2 degree Celsius and Dhenkanal at 13.5 degree Celisus.
The mercury hovered at 16.8 degree Celsius and 16.2 degree Celsius at Bhubaneswar and Cuttack respectively.
