Bhubaneswar: After sharp fall in the last couple of days across Odisha, temperature is likely to go up again in different parts of the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.
In its midday weather bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said that the minimum (night) temperature is likely to record gradual rise by 2 to 3 degree Celsius during the next two days with no large change thereafter.
The night temperature already started rising in several parts of the state since Sunday. Night temperature in Rourkela rose to 9.6 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours after plummeting to 8.8°C the previous night with a drop of 9.2°C.
G Udayagiri, the hill station in Kandhamal, was the coldest place in the state with 9 degree Celsius, while Publbani recorded 9.5 degree Celsius.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 17.9°C and 18°C respectively.
Yellow warning of dense fog has been issued for one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Dhenkanal during the subsequent 24 hours.
