Bhubaneswar: Dense to very dense fog is expected to persist in Odisha for another 4 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Saturday.
The weather agency has issued an orange warning till January 6 morning while yellow warning continues till the following morning. It has also forecast a fall in the minimum temperature by 2-4 degrees across the state after 24 hours.
In the next 24 hours, very dense fog may occur at isolated pockets in districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack and Nayagarh. Dense fog is also likely in Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul, Boudh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Ganjam and Gajapati.
The IMD has warned of very dense fog at isolated pockets in districts of Puri, Khurda, Cuttack and during the next two days till January 6 morning. Dense fog may also occur in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Rayagada and Koraput.
Dense fog may persist at isolated pockets in districts of Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Kandhamal from January 6 evening till January 8 morning, it added.
