Bhubaneswar: The night temperature in Odisha is likely to rise by 2-4 degree Celsius during the next 3 days with no large change in the subsequent 2 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.
The state saw a slight rise in the mercury levels in the last 24 hours with G Udayagiri being the coldest at 5.4 degree Celsius as against 4.2 degree Celsius the previous day. Semiliguda was closed second at 6.6 degree Celsius followed by Phulbani at 9 degree Celsius, Rourkela and Jharuguda at 10.2 degree Celsius and Daringbadi at 11 degree Celsius.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 14.4 and 14.8 degree Celsius respectively, as against 13.2 degree Celsius each on Tuesday. The night temperature may mover around 14-15 degree Celsius in these cities for seven days.
The weather agency has predicted dense to very dense fog at one or two places in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Bhadrak districts till January 24 morning. Shallow to moderate fog may also to occur during early morning hours at a few places in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak and at one or two places in Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh during this period.
Shallow to moderate fog may continue during early morning hours at one or two places in Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Bhadrak districts during the subsequent 24 hours, it added.
