Bhubaneswar: Internationally-acclaimed filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda’s movie ‘Megha’s Divorce’ was screened at the International Film Festival of Rome recently.
The film is a poignant portrayal of a stormy marriage, against the backdrop of Delhi’s extreme air pollution. The film is based on Panda’s personal experiences and real-life stories of the toll the city’s toxic air takes on family relationships.
“I feel proud of participating in the international film festival. It is an unique way to tell a story of our world’s problem regarding climate change. This film will be screened in India soon,” said Panda.
Filmmakers from 11 countries had participated at the festival to raise awareness on the effects of climate change through an anthology of films on the issue.
The eleven films reflected the intertwined relations within human society and the natural environment that are affected by climate change on multiple dimensions and scales.
