Bhubaneswar: In a special drive launched against the trading of narcotic substances, Commissionerate Police (CP), Bhubaneswar on Friday conducted raids at different places in the city and arrested nine persons.
The police arrested two persons, Dillip Kumar Pradhan and Ganesh Jena under Nayapalli police limits and seized 12 gram brown sugar, one two wheeler and one packet of inhale pipe under their possession.
The police arrested a man called Mangal Das under Laxmisagar police limits and seized 6.35 gram brown sugar and one auto rickshaw from him.
Two accused persons identified as Felu Pattnaik and Sandhyarani Pattnaik were arrested under Jatani police limits. The police seized eight gram brown sugar, one mobile phone, Rs 1200 cash and a bike from under their possession.
The police arrested four accused persons identified as Litu Khatei, Sarat Behera, Akash Aupam, and Sabyasachi Biswal under Saheednagar police limits. Seventeen gram brown sugar, two mobile phones, Rs 6,870 cash and two Honda Activas were seized from them.
