Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Wednesday said that the depression over Telangana had moved away further west-northwestwards and will have no direct impact over Odisha.
Due to above upper air trough and prevailing wind pattern, thunderstorm activity with isolated heavy rain, however, will continue in some districts of Odisha till the morning of October 16.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for the next two day.
TILL 8.30 AM ON OCTOBER 15
Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Dhenkanal, Angul, Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak and Jajpur.
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Odisha, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur and Deogarh.
TILL 8.30 AM ON OCTOBER 16
Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Odisha, Balangir, Nuapada, Boudh, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.
Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places in Coastal Odisha and at a few places in Interior Odisha.
The IMD has also forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower at many places in the districts of South Odisha and at a few places over the districts of North Odisha till 8.30 pm of October 17.
A few places of coastal districts of the state, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and isolated places in the rest of Odisha will experience similar weather condition in the following 24 hours.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places in South Coastal Odisha and at a few places in the rest parts of the state till 8.30 am on October 19, it added.
