New Delhi: President of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Niranjan Patnaik met the party supremo Rahul Gandhi at his official residence at Tughlaq Road in New Delhi on Saturday.
Patnaik was accompanied by the AICC secretary and Odisha in-charge Jitendra Singh, three AICC secretaries of state in charge of Odisha, Rudra Raju, Sk Mastan Ali and Anil Choudhury, Joint Secretary in charge of Odisha Aditya Sharma and three PCC working presidents Chiranjib Biswal, Naba Kumar Das and Pradip Majhi.
In the first review meeting, Patnaik would appraise his party supremo of various organisational activities taken by him after taking charge as the PCC president and the future course of action to be taken in the coming days.
Apart from this, the PCC president will recommend the name of the office-bearers for the PCC and the District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents to the party supremo for approval.
Sources in the party said the PCC president after the meeting with the party supremo would announce the name of the DCC presidents in a couple of days and the new PCC team within a week.
