Bhubaneswar: All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, has emerged as the top medical college in India, according to National Institutional Rankings Framework (NIRF) India Rankings 2021 released on Thursday.
Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research and Christian Medical College have been ranked second and third.
In Odisha, Siksha `O` Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, was adjudged the best with a ranking of 21. The other three medical colleges in the top 50 list include All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar, (31); Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar, (36) and SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, (39).
In 2020, Siksha `O` Anusandhan and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences were ranked 23 and 32 respectively.
NIRF Rankings considers parameters such as teaching and learning resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity and perception.
