NIRF Rankings 2024: Here’s How Odisha Institutes Fared

Bhubaneswar: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), an initiative under the Union Ministry of Education, published the prestigious rankings lists in various categories on Monday.

As per the India rankings in Engineering, NIT Rourkela is the only Odisha institute among top 20 in the. NIT Rourkela occupies the 19th position with a score of 63.38.

Siksha O’ Anusandhan (SOA) is in 26th place, with a score of 60.97.

NIT Rourkela is among the top 10 in the India Architecture & Planning rankings. The institute is at No. 9 with a score of 64.88.

SOA has emerged as Odisha’s top institute in two categories – overall India rankings and India University rankings.

In the overall India rankings, SOA is in 24th position with a score of 60.73. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) occupies 28th place with a score of 59.94.

In the India University rankings, SOA is among the top 15. It has been ranked No. 14 with a score of 62.61.

“SOA has continuously found a place in the list of top 25 institutions of higher learning in the country for nine years since the inception of the NIRF rankings by the Ministry of Education in 2016. Of these, SOA had been ranked within the top 20 universities in the country on seven occasions,” SOA said in a release.

KIIT is at No. 15, with a score of 62.53.

In the State Public University list, Utkal University is ranked No. 41 with a score of 50.27.
