NMC Allows Students Evacuated From Ukraine To Complete MBBS Internship In India; Check Details
New Delhi: As India continues to evacuate thousands of medical students from war-torn Ukraine, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has decided to allow Foreign Medical Graduates with incomplete internships because of compelling situations like COVID-19 and the war to apply to complete internships in India if they clear FMGE.
On Friday, concerned over the uncertainty over the future of medical students evacuated from Ukraine, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The IMA in its letter recommended allowing these students to continue their remaining studies at Indian medical colleges.
