Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) clarified that the previous order of lockdown at 7 pm in the city will remain valid for Friday (July 17).
Shops and other establishments will down shutters by 6 pm, the CMC tweeted.
The confusion was created after the state government declared a two-week complete lockdown starting from 9 pm on Friday. However, the CMC was already enforcing lockdown at 7 pm on weekdays instead of 9 pm, as was the case with other places in the state.
The new lockdown will remain in force till July 31 and shops selling vegetables, groceries, and milk will be allowed to function daily from 6 am to 1 pm.
