Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday assured that no persons in Odisha has been found afflicted with coronavirus.
“Till date, no person in Odisha has been detected with coronavirus. If any such case comes to the notice, the blood samples will be sent to National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune for a test,” Health Secretary Nikunja Bihari Dhal said after a video conferencing with the Union Health Secretary at Lok Seva Bhawan here.
Dhal said two persons who had arrived in Odisha from China via Malaysia on Wednesday were not found with any symptom of coronavirus.
The secretary did not disclose the identities of the two persons, who are kept in isolation. They will undergo another test after 15 days, he added.
