Berhampur: Ganjam district administration on Sunday stopped entry of outsiders to public offices from April 12.
District collector Vijay Amrit Kulange said as a measure for containment of Covid-19, the public offices will be barred for entry of the people from April 12 to April 30 midnight.
However, the offices will function by adopting social distancing measure, use of masks and other COVID-19 guidelines. In case of urgency, people may contact the head of the office or other officer over telephone, whatsapp and email. The officer concerned will decide the urgency of the work and act accordingly, the collector said.
Since the state is passing through a critical situation due to detection of new variant of SARS-CoV 2, it is necessary to strictly adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols for containment of the pandemic situation, Kulange said.
