Cuttack: Taking note of the alleged leakage and circulation of MIL question papers circulated on social media in Aul area of Odisha’s Kendrapara district, on the first day of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations on Friday, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has issued fresh orders for stricter enforcement of the ban on use of mobile phones inside examination centres.
“While the Board, in its order, had specifically mentioned that no examiner in any of the centres can use mobile phone, it has come to its notice that the order is not being carried out in letter and spirit in some centres. Though the allegation of leakage of MIL question papers was found to be false, the Board has decided to strictly stick to its order as a precautionary measure against such incident,” BSE President Dr Jahan Ara Begum told mediapersons here on Saturday.
She said except for the centre superintendents, no other person will be allowed to use mobile phone inside any examination centre. This ban also applies to teachers coming to the centres to identify their students. Similarly, mediapersons, under no circumstances, will be allowed to go inside the examination halls.
“The Board has instructed all centre superintendents to strictly adhere to its order,” the BSE President added.
