New Delhi: The Union government informed on Thursday that 78 districts have not reported any new case of novel coronavirus in the last 14 days, while 12 districts haven’t reported a new positive patient in the last 28 days.
The government also revealed that the growth in positive cases of the deadly virus has not been not exponential since nationwide lockdown was implemented.
Despite a 24-fold increase in testing during lockdown, the percentage of positive cases has not been rising. “The percentage of positive cases as a ratio of testing is more or less the same as that a month back,” a PIB release stated.
The total number of cases in India stands at 21,700, while the death toll has reached 686.
