No Suitable Date For Hindu Marriage For 4 Months From December 16

Bhubaneswar: Marriage and other happy functions involving religious rituals can be performed for 125 days from December 16, according to astrologers.

According to the astrology, Sun will enter the place of the star Sagittarius at 6.15 am on December 16 and leave on January 14. Since this period is considered bad from astrological view, no positive functions can be solemnised, the astrologers said.

Sun will then move to Capricorn and start northward movement. Though the bad month will end with this, there will be bad affects of other stars on pious activities till March 14.

The bad period will return for a month again on March 14 when Sun will move to Pisces and leave it on April 14.

Since Sun, Venus and Jupiter will not be placed in suitable position from December 16 to April 22, functions like marriage, sacred thread ceremony and others cannot be performed as per Hindu rituals during the period, the astrologers said.
