Nominations Invited From Odisha Sportspersons For Ekalabya Puraskar-2024; Check Details

Bhubaneswar: Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), managed by IMFA Group, has invited nominations for the 32nd Ekalabya Puraskar-2024.

The prestigious annual award for outstanding young sportsperson of Odisha carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh.

Apart from the main award, two citation awards are also presented, carrying cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each.

Eligible candidates have to send nominations through sports organisations/boards/associations, universities, colleges and schools within Odisha.

Last year, the Ekalabya Puraskar was presented to promising tennis player Debasis Sahoo.

Who can apply

Only sportspersons whose age don’t exceed 25 years as on March 31, 2024, can apply for the awards, Ekalabya Puraskar Committee convenor Kishore Mohan Mohanty said in a press release.

Documents needed

Besides providing proof of age, applications should clearly state, supported by evidence, their events, performance history at State, National and International level competitions in the last two years – from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2024.

How to send nominations

The nominations must reach Ekalabya Puraskar, IMPaCT, IMFA Building, Bomikhal, Bhubaneswar 751010 by May 31, 2024.
