Bhubaneswar: In more good news for the residents of Puri, district Collector Balwant Singh on Sunday announced that people working and staying in Puri on rent can visit the Jagannath temple on December 31.
Informing this on day-2 of special darshan for Puri locals he said special arrangements will be made for the purpose.
Those people working in Puri and wishing to have a darshan of the Trinity will have to provide appointment letter.
The tenants will have to provide house owner’s consent letter to visit the Srimandir, the Collector added.
After reopening of the centuries old temple on December 23, only the residents of Puri town have the privilege to have darshan of Lord Jagannath and deities inside the temple from December 26. The authorities have allowed for ward-wise darshan till December 31 evening.
The devotees of Puri as well as outside will be permitted to enter into the temple from January 3 onwards.
