Singapore: Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with religious fervour, pomp and gaiety on Kent Vale premises in Singapore.
More than 150 non-Odias participated in the celebration and decorated the venue. Pushpanjali (offering of flowers to God) and Alati were performed by a priest of Laxmi Narayan Temple in Singapore. He also conducted all other rituals of the deity.
A health awareness programme was also organised on the occasion. It was conducted by director, Specialist Orthopedic and Trauma, Dr Hitendra K Doshi, Dr Niketa Chotai and Dr Bhavesh Doshi.
During the immersion of idol of Ganesh, people of all the age groups danced, soaked in religious fervour.
Ganesh Puja is being organised in Singapore from the past two decades, uniting all the non-resident Odias abroad.
