Bhubaneswar: While the temperature in Odisha has picked up with six places recording 40 degree Celsius and above on Friday, the local Met office in an evening release said that the temperature will come down appreciably due to the nor’wester that would prevail in the state for five days in the next 24 hours.
“The cyclonic circulation extending up to 0.9 km above mean sea level over east Bihar and neighbourhood has become less marked while another cyclonic circulation extending up to 0.9 km above mean sea level lies over the south-east of Jharkhand and adjoining areas of Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha. Under its influence, light rain or thunder shower will occur at one or two places in all the districts for five days till April 10, said a release by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.
The release also has predicted thunder storm and lightning warning in the next five days at one or two places in the districts mentioned below.
April 6: Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Balasore, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Khurda and Puri.
April 7: Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Angul, Deogarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh , Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, Khurda, Boudh, Puri and Ganjam.
April 8: Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Ganjam and Nayagarh.
April 9: Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Cuttack, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur and Kalahandi.
April 10: Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Ganjam, Puri, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Malkangiri, Rayagada and Kandhamal.
