Now, A Police Complaint Against Ajay Devgn & Makers Of ‘Thank God’
Jaipur: After a case in court, a police complaint has been filed against the upcoming film ‘Thank God’.
Representatives of Kayastha Samaj lodged the police complaint in Rajasthan’s Dholpur against actor Ajay Devgn, producer T-Series and others involved with the movie, alleging that Hindu deity Chitragupta has been indecently portrayed.
Social worker Chandrakant Saxena, and representatives of the community reached Nihalganj police station in Dholpur under the banner of Sri Chitragupta Committee and filed the complaint.
National senior vice-president of Kayastha Mahasabha Sanjeev Srivastava said that a memorandum has been handed over to the district collector.
According to Srivastava, the film’s trailer shows Chitragupta dressed in modern costume, surrounded by “half-naked women”, which has hurt religious sentiments.
Claiming that a conspiracy is afoot to harm social harmony, Srivastava demanded the objectionable scenes should be removed.
Last week, a case was filed against the actors and filmmakers by an advocate in a Jaunpur court in UP, for hurting religious sentiments.
‘Thank God’ is scheduled to be released on October 25.
