Mumbai: Piracy is a criminal offence and you can even land in jail for downloading movies illegally from sites such as Bollyshare.
According to the Cinematograph Act of 2019, one can be imprisoned for 3 years with a fine of Rs 10 lakh for piracy.
Meanwhile, the piracy law in India states that downloading a copyrighted film from a website or helping someone to download movies illegally can land the miscreant in jail for six months to three years, with a fine between Rs 50,000 and Rs 2 lakh.
It should be noted here that Bollyshare is one such site that leaks most of the Hollywood blockbuster movies illegally.
Some of the leaked Hollywood films include ‘Parasite’, ‘Avengers: Endgame’, ‘Ford v Ferrari’, ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ and ‘The Lion King’ among others.
Recently, the website leaked ‘Bird of Prey’, ‘Joker’ and ‘Dolittle’.
Besides Hollywood, Bollyshare has also leaked many Bollywood films including ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’, ‘Dabangg 3’ and ‘Pagalpanti’ among others.
To put an end to such illegal activities, stringent action will be taken against the law violators.
The right way to enjoy movies is to buy a ticket and watch the film at a theatre or to subscribe to an OTT platform.
So, stay away from piracy and stay safe!
