A nurse has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill US Vice-President Kamala Harris.
The 39-year-old Florida-based Niviane Petit Phelps was arrested following an investigation by the US Secret Service, reported CNN.
According to a criminal complaint, Phelps made threats — knowingly and willfully — to kill and inflict bodily harm on the Vice-President from February 13 to February 18.
It also alleged that Phelps sent videos to her husband, who is in prison, through a computer application that allows families to connect with prisoners.
“The videos generally depict Phelps complaining and speaking angrily to the camera about her hatred for President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, among others,” stated the complaint. “Phelps also made statements about killing Vice-President Harris.”
Phelps says in one of the videos: “Kamala Harris you are going to die. Your days are numbered already.”
In another video, Phelps says: “I’m going to the gun range… I swear to God today is your day you’re gonna die. 50 days from today, mark this day down.”
Harris made history in January when she became the first woman, first Black American and first South Asian American Vice-President of United Staes of America.
