Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday effected a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, appointing senior OAS officer Anuj Kumar Das Pattanaik as the director of Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department.
He will replace Deba Prasad Dash, who was promoted to Special Secretary rank and given additional charge of I&PR department last month. The post was then lying vacant since superannuation of Saroj Samal on February 28, 2025.

Pattanaik was serving as the state nodal officer for PM Poshan and MM Poshan since last month. Prior to that, he served as Additional Secretary in Steel & Mines and Women & Child Development departments.
Special Secretary, Health & FW department, will succeed him as state nodal officer for PM Poshan and MM Poshan, the notification issued by the General Administration department said.
Similarly, Mitali Patra has been posted as Administrative Officer at CDM & PHO, Baripada, Mayurbhanj. The former Tangi Tehsildar had joined in the GA & PG department.
The notification further stated that Ajaya Kumar Pradhan, who was transferred to Rayagada, will continue as PA, ITDA, Gunupur.
