To prevent further escalation and ensure campus safety, college authorities intervened, suspended the oath ceremony indefinitely, and declared immediate holidays.
In the wake of the violence, all students were asked to vacate the college hostels. Management has stated that the postponed oath-taking ceremony will be rescheduled and conducted after the holidays once normalcy is restored across the campus. Local police
In a similar case, oath-taking ceremony was deferred at RCM College in Khallikote in Ganjam district. The decision to put the proceedings on hold came after an official application was submitted requesting a recounting of votes cast during the student elections.
To ensure fairness, address the grievances raised by candidates, and maintain peace on campus, the college administration chose to defer the event.
Consequently, college authorities have decided that the oath-taking ceremony will now be conducted only after the ongoing college holidays conclude and normal academic operations resume.
