Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Team Visits SAI Schools For Inputs On All-Round Education

Bhubaneswar: Lately, educationists have realized the significance of education that addresses the overall development of a child, and not just the academic aspect. Keeping this in view, the Advisor-cum-Working President of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS), Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, organized a tour for a team of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OVAs) Principals and staff, along with OAVS State Project Director Lingaraj Panda, to Bhubaneswar-based SAI International School on Friday.

Dr Sahoo, while interacting with the team, said OAVs can become a benchmark in CBSE quality education. He further said that it is important for schools to create a happy learning environment for the children.

Dr Sahoo suggested some concepts and that can be implemented at OAVs and goals to be set, for all round development of each child, with an output and outcome.

The goals, concepts and outcomes of the tour for OAVs

  • To create a happy environment.
  • Make reading fun and develop a reading habit
  • Developing the seven multi-sensory skills
  • Special teachers training
  • Create a public speaking platform
  • Language Lab to enhance English speaking skills
  • ERP to be installed to monitor the progress of the curriculum

Speaking about the tour, Panda said it was a good experience for the principals. “I am thankful to Dr Sahoo for organizing the trip to the two schools, it was indeed a great learning for all and we can definitely emulate SAI International processes and practices for the cause of quality education, after all educated children will lead to an educated and wise India,” he added
