Bhubaneswar: Lavanya Das, a Class-X student from Bhubaneswar, has made Odisha proud by winning the Miss Teen Diva India International 2019 title in New Delhi
The student of Unit-8 DAV School here, was the sole girl from Odisha at the prestigious event on Sunday night. As many as 40 participants from across India including Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan, Assam, Delhi and Hyderabad participated in the contest.
Lavanya had earlier received the Miss Tourism Ambassador Universe Teen 2018 title at Miss and Mister Tourism Ambassador Universe 2018 in Malaysia. Her costume, which depicted Odisha’s rich culture, was also awarded the best national costume.
Lavanya, who wants to become an IAS officer, plans to study sincerely and also attend more prestigious international pageants. As to her aspirations, she also wishes for support from the state government.
This Bhubaneswar girl has also won laurels for Odisha by winning three awards—Best Fantasy National Costume, Best Outstanding Achiever 2018 and Best Folk Dancer—at the ‘Prince and Princess International’ contest in Thailand.
