Bhubaneswar: With an aim to increase the vaccination base, Odisha government has decided to allow private hospitals conduct COVID-19 vaccination of people in the 18 to 44 age group.
Both the vaccines, Covaxin and Covishield will be available free of cost. The beneficiaries willing to take the jab at private facilities will have to pay Rs 100 per shot as administration charge.
“We have taken this decision to increase our vaccination base and also in line with the announcement made by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to make vaccines available to the people of the State for free,” Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Pradipta Mohapatra told Odisha Bytes.
