Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till 11.30 am due to the uproar by the BJP members.
As the House session began at 10.30 am, Speaker Pradip Amat ordered the resumption of Question Hour and directed Agriculture minister Pradip Maharathi to furnish a written reply. As soon as the minister stood up to reply to a question, the BJP members rushed to the well of the House and shouted slogans against the state government alleging that it is busy about its self-propagation in the name of capital investment. They also sought clarification from the Chief Minister on whose interest he has scheduled his tour to New Delhi on Tuesday.
Unable to run the proceedings, the Speaker adjourned the House till 11.30 am.
Earlier in the day, the Speaker accepted a motion moved by the Congress to discuss the issues of the Block Grant teachers, who have been agitating in the state capital for about a month for the fulfilment of their long-standing demands.
