EeVe India, an Odisha-based start-up, has unveiled electric two-wheelers at the Auto Expo 2020.
One is a retro-styled electric scooter named Forseti and the other is an electric motorcycle named Tesero.
EeVe boasts of motors from Bosch with a five-year warranty. The lithium batteries can be swapped and have a three-year replacement warranty.
The Forseti has a claimed range of 100 km, and the Tesero does 120 km on a single charge. Both have a charging time of 3-4 hours. The scooter has a top speed of 60-70 kmph and the motorcycle will be able to do 90-100 kmph.
EeVe says both the vehicles will be priced under ₹ 1 lakh, and will be launched in the later half of this year.

We understand the pain points of the Indian two-wheeler user as well as the environmental situation in our country. Considering all these aspects, we have designed Tesero and Forseti to bring a balance between highly advanced technology and the ecological health of the world,” said Harsh Didwania, Co-Founder and Director, EeVe India.
“The Indian automobile market is going through a massive transition and I am confident that our latest offerings will generate excitement among the customers and we will get a positive response from the market,” he added.
Currently, the company is selling four scooters priced between ₹50,000 to ₹70,000 (on-road, Bhubaneswar).
The Odisha-based electric two-wheeler start-up started operations in October 2019, and has presence in over 45 cities across North East India, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It has sold more than 1,200 electric two-wheelers already.
It can make 12,000 units per year which it is planning to ramp up to production to 50,000-60,000 units in the next two to three years. The company has invested ₹ 70 crore, and is looking to take the investment to ₹ 100-150 crore within the next few years.
