Odisha: Berhampur Artist Bijay Reddy Creates Miniature Pencil Carving Of ICC T20 World Cup Trophy

Berhampur: With ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled to start from Saturday, miniature artist K Bijay Kumar Reddy of Berhampur in Odisha’s Ganjam district has crafted a miniature pencil carving of the ICC T20 World Cup trophy.

Bijay, who has already carved a niche for himself in the world of miniature art, created this tiny masterpiece to celebrate the T20 World Cup and express his best wishes to the Indian cricket team. The miniature trophy stands at an astonishing height of just 1.5 cm.

In addition to the World Cup trophy, Bijay has created a 1.5-cm pencil carving of Indian team captain Rohit Sharma as a tribute to the star cricketer and a token of good luck for the tournament.

Bijay has been recognised by both Central and state governments for his remarkable skills.

With the world watching and fans eagerly anticipating the matches, Bijay’s miniature masterpieces add a unique touch to the celebrations, showcasing the spirit of cricket and the incredible talent of this young artist from Berhampur.

The 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, to be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States June 1 to 29, will be the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup. It is a biennial Twenty20 International (T20I) tournament contested by men’s national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

It is the first ICC World Cup tournament to feature matches in the United States. England is the defending champion of the World Cup, having defeated Pakistan in the final of the previous edition.
