Odisha BJP Suspends 12 Leaders For Anti-Party Activities

Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday suspended as many as 12 persons holding different party positions in the state as a disciplinary action.

According to a press release of BJP, on the recommendation of district presidents, state president of the party Samir Mohanty has suspended its 12 leaders from membership for anti-party activities and violating the party discipline.

The following leaders have faced the suspension order:

  • Koraput district executive committee member Dilip Swain
  • Sunabeda municipality leader Rajendra Kumar Patra
  • Rayagada district Mahila Morcha secretary Sujata Patnaik
  • Rayagada district executive committee member B Gangadhar
  • Nabarangpur Municipality leader Malaya Jena and Mahila Morcha general secretary Babita Sahu
  • Sundargarh executive committee member Dr Himanshu Sarangi
  • Sundargarh district OBC Morcha vice-president Baikuntha Bananthar
  • Sundargarch town president (SC Morcha) Mahesh Tanti
  • Former mandal president of Tusra in Balangir district Amaresh Kedia
  • Former Jharsuguda district secretary Manoj Agarwal
  • Nuapada district general secretary (SC Morcha) Nimai Charan Tandi
