Bhubaneswar: Heat wave conditions continued to prevail across Odisha, with Sambalpur recording a high of 44.7 degree Celsius in the state.
The evening bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department said 12 places in the state recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius.
Sonepur, Balangir and Titlagarh recorded over 44 degree Celsius while the temperature in places such as Keonjhar, Talcher, Angul, Malkangiri, Sundargarh, Bhawanipatna and Jharsuguda remained between 40-43 degree Celsius.
Temperature in the Odisha capital remained at 38.2 degree celsius with a humidity level at 61 per cent.
Heat wave conditions will continue to prevail in western and central parts of the state including Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Sonepur, Bargarh, Balangir and Nuapada in the coming 24 hours.
